Here are a list of some of my favourite websites. Let me know what your favourites are and maybe I can add them to my list!

Achuka – an excellent web-site full of book reviews, author and illustrator profiles, news, chat and much, much more (www.achuka.co.uk)

Federation of Children’s Book Groups – again, a good site for information about The Book Trust and the annual Children’s Book award. (www.fcbg.org.uk)

Kids at Random House – if you want to find out about authors and illustrators published by Random House, this is the place to go. This link takes you straight to my page on the Random House web site. (www.kidsatrandomhouse.co.uk/malorieblackman)

Jubilee Books – a great place to arrange author and illustrator visits and a fantastic place to order books for your school or library (www.jubileebooks.co.uk)

Reading Maze - The Reading Maze was set up to support the reading challenge events held at a number of local libraries throughout summer. It’s a fun site, full of pictures and sound bites and video clips and a great way to find out about a number of different authors and illustrators. (www.readingmaze.org.uk)

Scattered Authors Society: The S.A.S. is a group of writers for children and teenagers. There are over one hundred of us scattered across the country. We have no lofty aims and objectives, except to enjoy and share a love of writing and books, to support each other and to fend off the gloom of the isolated writer in the lonely garret.

The S.A.S. meets a couple of times a year for residential weekends, and more informally at lunches organised around the United Kingdom. In between times, members keep in touch with each other via the S.A.S. newsletter. Membership is open to all published writers for young people. wordpool – a great site for information about the book world in general (www.wordpool.co.uk)
